Jane Sisneros Obituary

Jane Sisneros, of Midland, Texas returned to her heavenly home at 07:50 AM, March 3rd, 2017. Jane was a true servant of God. She was born November 4rd, 1938 in Lake Arthur, New Mexico, to Victorano and Cecelia Araujo. She married Andres Arturo Sisneros on May 16, 1962 and he survives. Also surviving are two children, Diana Sisneros-Esparza of Midland and Andres Arturo Sisneros Jr. of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren included, Steve Subia, Adam Cruz Alvarez, Crystal D'Ann Alvarez, and Cruz Esparza all of Midland; and family member Tony Gates of Dallas; Surviving siblings are Eulalia Rodriguez of Artesia, New Mexico, Rosie Araujo, Elsie Bustamante, Josie Baca, Carmen Guzman, Manual Araujo, Victor Araujo, Benito Araujo and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. Preceded in death is one daughter, Landra Jane Sisneros-Alvarez, her parents Victorano and Cecelia Araujo, siblings; Albert Araujo, Nicanor Araujo, Cruz Araujo, Ismael Araujo, Ruth Madrid, and Agapito Araujo. Jane was a long time resident of Midland since leaving her childhood home of Artesia, New Mexico. Family and friends were Jane's passion and delight. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children and family. She loved caring for her family and extended family and always offered an open home. She was Godmother to numerous godchildren. Her motherly nature towards children and others bestowed her the name "Mother Jane" to many in the community for and wide. She was also a foster mother for many years and was proud to provide a safe haven for children in need. She loved reading and writing and was a great historian. She loved sharing stories of the past. Jane faith and devotion was shared with all who knew her and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Parish and Shrine, she was an active committee member of the Legion of Mary Society (Legion De Maria) and was a member of the Sociedades Guadalupanas (Guadalupe Societies). Viewing will be Monday, March 6th from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening both at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be Tuesday, March 7th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish & Shrine. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
