Mauricio Marquez passed away suddenly on March 10, 2017. He was born on January 15, 1991 to Manuel Marquez and Elia Marquez in Ojinaga Chihuahua, and was raised and educated in Pecos, Texas. He married Erica Maria Muniz; together they had two beautiful daughters, Makayla Marquez and Maylani Marquez. Mauricio was a hardworking, devoted family man. He had a great passion for racing or burning tire and customizing his trucks, known as Lownali and Beautyy. Other days you could count on him to be racing cars on Racing Rivals online or out with family and friends eating out at his favorite restaurant, Osaka. He often spent his afternoons being home with his family and watching his favorite animated show, Dragonball-Z, in between races on his phone which you could count on him to have on-hand. He will be forever missed and never forgotten by his family and friends. Mauricio is preceded in death by his grandmother, Julia Renteria. He is survived by his wife, Erica Maria Muniz; two daughters, Makayla Marquez and Maylani Marquez, all of Midland, Texas; his parents, Manuel and Elia Marquez, both of Pecos; two brothers, Dario Marquez of Odessa, Texas and Ervey Mendoza, also of Pecos; his grandparents, Dario Marquez, Sr. of Lovington, New Mexico, and Rito and Teresa Mendoza, both of Pecos; and by numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Rosary will be Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Gate Funeral Home, 405 N. Terrell ST. Funeral Mass is set for Friday, March 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish & Shrine. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
