Basilio Mendoza

Bacilio Mendoza, 63, of Midland, Texas, passed away early Monday morning after a long struggle with cancer. Bacilio was born April 15 1953 to his parents, Candelario Mendoza and Maria Cruz Villanueva. He was raised by his step-mother, Katalina Rodriguez, in el Junco Guanajuato, Mexico where he was also raised and educated. He came to the states in 1967. Bacilio was employed at BCM & Associates. His work was his life he loved his job almost as much as spending time with his grandbabies. He was a family man; in his spare time, he enjoyed watching his favorite team, the Texas Rangers, play baseball. Bacilio was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Melissa Mendoza. He is survived by his wife, Rosalia Mendoza of Midland; his five children, Francis Mendoza of Mexico and Natalie Mendoza, Christela Mendoza, Bacilio Mendoza, Jr., and Homer Mendoza, all of Midland; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and by his numerous brothers and sisters. Viewing will be Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service has been set for Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., also at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Chapel; 2508 N. Big Spring ST.
