Cecilio M. Florez, 70 of Midland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 27, 1948 in Pecos, Texas to the late Satarnino and Inocencia Florez. He had worked for Midland Memorial Hospital for over 20 years. Cecilio is survived by his wife, Maria Florez of Midland, TX; daughters, Kathryn Pacheco of San Antonio, TX and Julianna Florez of Midland, TX; step-daughter Alejandra Soto of Midland, TX; Step-sons, Jonathan Moreno of Midland, TX, Fernando Ortiz of Odessa, TX. and Greg Ortiz of Midland, TX; one brother Lorenzo Florez of San Angelo, TX and one sister Margarita Lopez of San Antonio, TX; 21 grand-children, 2 great grand-children and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Viewing will be Wednesday, December 27th from 9:00am - 9:00pm with a rosary starting at 7:00pm at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be Thursday, December 27th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish & Shrine. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Family would like to express sincere gratitude to Hospice of Midland for their care. Funeral Service is under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel.
