Cheri Gaitan

Cheri Ivon Huber Gaitan was born in Denver, Colorado on December 20, 1971 to Ivan and Joyce Huber. She graduated high school in Colorado, then had her daughter Chance Russell on February 18, 1991. She continued her education receiving her Associates degree in Business and Math. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and aunt. She loved music and art, and was a doting mother who also enjoyed working on computers. Anyone who was in need of help she would give them the shirt off her back. She moved to Midland in 2001, and quickly gained employment at Cingular Wireless as a manager. She then had her daughter Kenyari Giddings on July 1, 2003. She became a manager at Televista soon after, from there she became a manager at Family Dollar Distribution where she me Richard Gaitan who would later become her husband. Through that union they had triplets, Nahina, Khyiah, and Richard Gaitan on September 28, 2006. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Robert Manley, Rev. Wallace Sims and Willie Manley. Paternal grandparents Chauncey and Gretta Mae Huber. Her father Ivan Huber an aunt Sherry Huber who she was named after, sister Lori Roberts, two cousins Ashley Beasley, and Monica Beasley, and several great-aunts and uncles. She is survived by her mother Joyce (Reginal) Rankin, sister Rebecca (Tim) Johnson, brother Sammy (Sharon) Huber. Nephews Norman (Alicia) Johnson, Jarred Johnson, Devin Johnson, and niece Tiffany (Ray) Williams. Also 10 great nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends. Services will be held Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 1:00pm, True Lite Christian Fellowship with Rev. Johnny Frazier officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Jackie Warren Funeral Home.
