Christopher Justin Olgin

Christopher Justin Olgin, affectionately known as "Bacon," passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 in Midland. He was 28 years old. He was born November 23, 1989 in Galveston, Texas and was raised and educated in Midland, Texas. Christopher was a loving father, son, brother, and friend. He was the life of a party and always giving of himself to help when needed. He never let anyone down at any hour or anytime of the day. Christopher enjoyed barbecuing and spending time with his family. His love for his Welo and Wela was immeasurable. He will be missed greatly by all his family and friends. Christopher was preceded in death by his Wela, Doris Olgin, who raised him. He is survived by his family: the love of his life, Liz Pando; a son, Nathan Eleazer Pando Olgin; a daughter, Ilse Annette Pando Olgin, all of Midland; his adoptive grandfather, Fernando Olgin of Midland; his father, Donny Bonilla of Odessa; his mother, Samantha Olgin of Midland; a sister, Sonia Perez, also of Midland; three brothers, Michael Olgin of San Antonio, Texas, and Donny Bonilla, Jr. and Marcus Olgin, both of Odessa, Texas; and by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Viewing will be Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., with a rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. Sunday night at Heavenly Gate Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass has been set for Monday, February 12, 2018 at 9:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish & Shrine with Father Josh Grey officiating. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers for the service will be Donny Bonilla, Jr., Francisco "Pancho" Pando, Roman Lee Lopez, Pablo "P.A." Tagle, Mathew Lopez, Jose Luis Padilla, Aaron Natividad, and Raymond "Tang" Castrellon. Honorary pallbearers are Nathan Eleazar Pando Olgin and Ilse Annette Pando Olgin. Funeral mass is under the direction of Heavenly Gate Funeral Home and Chapel.
