Christopher James Petralva

Christopher James Petralva, 35 of Midland, Texas went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, June 4, 2018 after a sudden illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. Chris was born September 2, 1982 in Midland. He was raised and educated in Midland graduating from Midland Lee High School. He enjoyed cooking for his family and was an avid hunter. He loved the outdoors and was a fan of the New York Giants. Chris worked as a brick mason alongside his father, Ernest, in the family business. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish & Shrine. Chris's pride & joy were his loving nieces and nephew, Ashley, Blake, Crista and his brother Rick and sister-in-law Melissa. He will be missed greatly by all his loving family and friends. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Juan and Ruth Madrid; grandmother, Eufemia Lopez; and by other loving brother and uncles. He is survived by his parents, Ernest and Janie (Nana) Petralva and one brother Richard (Rick) Joseph Petralva and wife Melissa all of Midland; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Visitation will be Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a rosary starting a 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass is set for Friday, June 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish & Shrine. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. `Pallbearers for the service will be Blake Petralva, Elijah Madrid, Danny Saenz, Kevin Petralba, Reinaldo Mendoza, Steve Subia, Trace Sidle, Trent Sidle, Victor Madrid and Armando Madrid. `Funeral service is under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel.
