Cody Brooks Prather, 27, of Midland, Texas passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017. Viewing will be at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Cody was born on January 5, 1990 in Monahans, Texas to Kevin Prather and Karen Harrison Kull. Cody made friends wherever he went and they were all like family to him. He was one of a kind with a very special soul. Cody was more clever than he knew and his smile would light up any room that he walked in. He had a passion for music and expressed himself through music. Most of the time he had his headphones in his ears in his own world. Cody always had his phone attached to his hand and enjoyed modifying his phones and pretty much could do anything with electronics. He would call himself a "computer geek". Cody had a fascination for other languages, enjoyed watching anime while downloading music or working on his laptop, and he loved gaming beginning with Sega and progressing with the consoles as technology advanced. He loved to make people smile, laugh and enjoyed hanging out with his friends as much as he could. Anyone that knew Cody knew that he was bigger than this everyday life. Cody is survived by his dad, Kevin Prather; mother, Karen Kull and husband, Joe Kull; brother, David Prather; grandmother, Beverly Prather; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Cody is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Carolyn Harrison and grandpa, Kenneth Prather. Pallbearers will be David Prather, Weldon Prather, Blake Blackwell, Ashton Prather, Ricky Nelson and Matt Sims. The family would like to thank everyone who has been a part of Cody's precious life.
