On Friday March 26 2021, Cruz Gamboa Bernal went to be with our Lord and Savior. Cruz was born on April 3rd 1955 in Midland Tx to Julia and Simon Bernal. He grew up in Midland and graduated from Midland High School in 1973. Cruz was a loving, kindhearted person, always had a smile on his face and was more than willing to lend a helping hand to a friend in need. He loved to sing and joke around, and often spent time in Brownwood hunting and fishing. Cruz loved to be around his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his 9 brothers and sisters: Silver, Isabel, David, Thomas, Sara, George, Abel, Ruth, and Simon. His 6 children: Michael, Tony, Michelle, Vanessa, Viviann, and Paula. He was blessed with 7 grandchildren: Anthony, Idaliz, Ezri, Ralphie, Ayden, Ellie, and Jaxon and 3 great grandchildren: Jacob, Adrian, and Melody. And countless nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Juliana Bernal. There will be a viewing at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 31st from 11-7 with a prayer service from 7-8 pm. Funeral will be Thursday, April 1st at Templo Bautista La Hermosa 1514 WCR 121 Midland, Tx at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will include Simon Bernal, Michael Bernal, Tony Bernal, Ryan Cunningham, Kristopher Bernal, and Chester Sutton. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralphie Dominguez and Ayden Bernal.
