Deborah Dee Petrie

Dee Petrie "For God so loved the world, He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever shall believe in Him, shall not perish but have Everlasting Life" - John 3:16 Our beautiful wife, mother and grandmother, Deborah Dee Petrie, went home to be with our Savior on February 18, 2018 at the age of 61 years. She was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Gerald and Betty Mitchell, on February 4, 1957. She attended Blackwell schools through high school. She married the love of her life, Michael Alan Petrie, on October 20, 1979. They moved to Texas that day and have been residents ever since. She loved gardening, working with her irises and flowers, and being with her much loved grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Petrie; son, Chad Petrie and wife Beth, along with their children Evan and Jacob, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; son, Cory Petrie and wife Sara, along with their children Caleb and James, of Midland, Texas; and daughter, Kelsi Baker and husband Jon-Marc, of Midland. She is also survived by her mother, Betty Mitchell of Blackwell; brother, Ronald Lockert and wife Tammy of Blackwell; along with numerous nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her father, Gerald Mitchell, and her grandparents. Services will be held at Stonegate Fellowship on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the north building. Donations can be made to Cook's Children's hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Center in her honor. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and kindness during this difficult time. We rejoice because she is in Heaven smiling upon us.
