Dorothy L Tisdale

After suffering several strokes over the last 10 months, Dorothy Walters Harmon Tisdale, 87, of Midland passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 29, 2015. She will be available for viewing on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 1:00pm-9:00pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Ann's Catholic Church Chapel with interment following at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Dorothy Walters was born on May 24, 1928 in Embry, Texas to Roger Walters and Calvie Lee Taylor. Dorothy grew up in east Texas and southern Oklahoma. She moved to Midland in 1950. After retirement, Dorothy pursued her two loves- gardening and garage sale shopping. She became quite the entrepreneur selling veggies from her garden and pecans from around the area. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Harmon Kelley; son, Xavier Damien Harmon; grandchildren, Brittany Kelley, Anthony Kelley, Kourtney Kelley, Ashton Datcher, Torrin Datcher, Xavier Damien Harmon, Jr., and Jazmine Harmon; and great-grandchildren, Alicia Kelley, Jaeda Kelley, Nicholas Kelley, and Xakaria Harmon. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Grady Sturgean Harmon; husband, George Tisdale; and daughter, Doris Harmon Datcher. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude towards the Manor Park family for all of their services and kindness.
