Josephina L. Madrid

Josephina L. Madrid, 83, of Midland, Texas, went home to be with Our Lord and Savior and Our Blessed Mother on Sunday, September 18, 2016. She was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco on January 19, 1933 to the late Miguel and Sotera Lechuga. Josephina married Luis A. Madrid September, 26, 1959 in Midland. Josephina was a very devoted Catholic and an active member at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was an active member of The Legion of Mary and the Guadalupanas for more than 55 years. She worked as a housekeeper and a cook in the priest's home for 20 years. Josephina is survived by her husband, Luis; her son, Carlos Madrid; two daughters, Martha Sandoval and Luisa Madrid; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of Midland; two sisters, Enedina Lechuga and Maria Magdalena Lechuga; and by a nephew Rodolfo Rivero, all from Mexico City. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gordon Madrid, II; a sister, Maria De Jesus Lechuga;and by nephew, Arturo Prieto. Services will be held on Thursday September 22, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
