Luciana Pino Obituary

"Lucy" Pino Lucy Pino, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on January 29, 2017. She was born on May 8, 1942 in Alpine, Texas to Paula Rojo and Donaciano Rodriguez, who precede her in death. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Lee Pino, and her brothers, Antonio Rodriguez and Jorge Rojo. Her memory will be cherished by her husband of 58 years, Joe M. Pino; her children, Norma Pino, Joe R. Pino (Angie), Nora Pino, Lorraine Barela (Gilbert), Joe A. Pino, and Nancy M. Moreno (Daniel); her grandchildren, Veronica, Joseph Donald, and Joseph Isaiah Pino, Jason, Julian, and James Barela, Joseph Daniel Pino, Joseph Matthew Pino, Jacinda and Nathan Moreno; her four great-grandchildren, Lola, Sofia, and Celia Shryock, and Jayden Barela; her sisters and brothers, Julie Hignojos (Luis), Velinda Carrillo, Dora Rodriguez, Elodia Rojo, Robert Rojo, and Mario Rojo; and by her loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. Her pallbearers will be her two brothers and all of her grandsons. Lucy was a devoted matriarch who loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time surrounded by them. She will be missed by all who knew her and the loss of her warmth and light will be felt for years to come. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mr. Larry Cook, a dear friend for over 25 years. The family would also like to thank the Lara Family of Odessa, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Valenzuela of Midland, and Father David and the many doctors, nurses, and staff of Midland Memorial Hospital for their caring support. A rosary service will be held at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 2, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3, at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe, and internment will be at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Funeral service is under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel.
