Ruben Galindo

Ruben Benavides Galindo, 77 of Midland, Texas went home to be with his Heavenly father Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at his home. Ruben was born to the late Petronillo Galindo and Victoria Benavides on February 24, 1941 in Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua Mexico. He moved to Midland in 1958 and then moved to Dallas but later returned to Midland. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was well known for his welding career. He will be missed greatly by all his family and friends. Ruben was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Eduvijes Navarette. He is survived by two sons, Sergio Galindo and Ruben Cruz and a daughter, Gabriela (Gaby) Galindo all of Midland, TX; two brothers, Armando Galindo of Irving, TX and Efrain Galindo of Midland, TX; two sisters, Martha Garcia of Irving, TX and Rosa Carrasco of Midland, TX; nine grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Viewing will be Sat., June 2nd from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Sunday June 3rd from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Chapel. A funeral mass is set for Monday June 4th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish & Shrine. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
