Salvador Flores Roman

Salvador Flores Roman, 83, of Midland, Tx passed away on December 9, 2021. Salvador was born February 27th, 1938, in Fort Hancock, Tx to Maria Flores and Aristeo Roman. He was second oldest of 6 children with two brothers and three sisters. As a young man, Salvador worked on farms, picking cotton in the fields. He was then a concrete finisher for nearly 50 years. He was also a jack of all trades. Salvador resided in Midland, Tx with wife of 64 years Maria Chavez Roman until her passing. It was in this home that they always had an open door for any family or friends in need. When someone thinks of my dad, the terms hard worker and selfless come to mind.
Salvador was proceeded in death by his sister Socorro Dominguez Roman, wife Maria Chavez Roman and daughter Sandra Gonzalez. He is survived by his brothers Armando Roman and Jesus Ruben Roman, sisters Hermila Macias, and Romelia Roman. He is also survived by his grandsons (whom he raised as his own) Miguel and his wife Laura Gonzalez, Thomas Gonzalez, and granddaughter Emily Gamboa. His great grandchildren; Patrick, Miguel Jr, Gracelynn, Faith, Enrique, Alejandra and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 10am to 9pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home. A funeral mass has been set for Thursday, December 16th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Shrine. Burial to follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
