Vercie Jackson Obituary

Vercie Mae Jackson was born August 3rd 1931 in Bremond, Texas to the late Lizzie and Leslie Massingil. Our angel departed her life on this earth on April 15th 2018. She was the 5th child of eight siblings including an adopted sister Lincolnette Lockridge. She graduated from Bremond High School and later moved to Midland, TX. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Midland, TX. Before moving to Midland she met Earl Jackson and they joined in Holy matrimony in Midland, TX in 1950. Within this union three daughters were born Linda Smith, Dorothy Jackson, and Reba Coleman. She was proceeded in her passing by all of her siblings also her husband Earl Jackson, and her daughter Dorothy Jackson. She leaves to mourn her passing daughters, Linda Smith, Reba Coleman, her adopted sister, Lincolnette Lockridge; eight grandchildren, Aaron Jackson, Michael Jackson, Marrick Smith, Dromecia Pierce, Dorothy Jackson, Kenneth Jones, Taneah Romero, Tamesha Smith; fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, also host of relatives and friends. Wake service will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Avalos-Sanchez & Thomas Funeral Home Chapel, 1502 N. Lamesa Road. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Serenity Memorial Gardens with Pastor Dennis Hodge officiating.
