Andres Sisneros Sr. Obituary

Andres Arturo Sisneros Sir, of Midland, returned to his heavenly home at approximately 7:57 a.m., January 15, 2018, shortly after sunrise. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by the love of his children, grandchildren, and family. Andres Sisneros, also known as Andy, was a true servant of God and a loving supporting parent. Andres was born March 24, 1940 in Rio Arriba, New Mexico to Guadalupe and Maria R. Sisneros of Medanales, New Mexico. He married Jane Araujo on May 16, 1962 of Artesia, New Mexico. Surviving are two children, Diana G. Sisneros-Esparza of Midland and Andres Arturo Sisneros, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren included Steve Subia, Adam Cruz Alvarez, Crystal D'Ann Alvarez, and Cruz Esparza, all of Midland; and family member Tony Gates of Dallas; surviving sibling is Simon Antonio Sisneros of Monte Vista, Colorado; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins. Preceded in death is his wife, Jane Araujo Sisneros; one daughter, Landra Jane Sisneros-Alvarez; his parents, Guadalupe and Maria Ramonsita Sisneros; and siblings, Maria Liontina Sisneros, Adelisia Sisneros, Indalasia Sisneros, and Roberto G. Sisneros Andres (Andy), after his service in the United States Air force, was a long-time resident of Midland with his wife and children. He retired from St. Ann's Catholic Church-School after over 40 years of service. Andy's passion in life was his dedication to his family. His devoted life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children, family, and all who knew him. Andy and his wife Jane were godparents to numerous godchildren and were foster parents for many years and was proud to provide a safe haven for children in need. Andy was a devoted father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and was deeply involved in the well-being of their lives and activities. He was known as a skilled "Mr. Fix it" and problem-solver who looked at difficult situations as a welcome challenge. "Commonsense" was his practical statement in teaching life lessons and providing advice and a lending hand was not an unusual characteristic. Andy was deeply proud of his heritage and his life growing up on his family ranch in the hills of Espanola in New Mexico. Before his passing, a recent trip back home with his family celebrated his life memories and spiritual history of life in his childhood home. His family will forever cherish that time. He spoke of living a fulfilled life, leaving no regrets, and being at peace. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
