Anthony Barrera

Anthony Barrera, age 86, passed away Saturday April 12, 2025.  Anthony was born in Sinaloa, Mexico.  He enjoyed playing pool, gardening, and playing guitar.  

Anthony is survived by his daughter, Sandra Sauceda and her husband Rene from Midland, and his son Ricardo Barrera from Pecos.  Anthony also has 19 grandchildren and 38 great- grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Luz Barrera, his daughter, Norma Avila, his 2 sons, Raul Barrera and Rene Barrera, and 2 grandsons, Joe Manuel Barrera and Antonio C. Barrera III.

The viewing will take place at Heavenly Gates Funeral Home in Midland on Tuesday from 1-9 p.m. with a Rosary service from 7-8 on the same day. Funeral services will take place Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St Stephen's Catholic Church. A burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
