Antonio Hernandez

Antonio Hernandez, 82, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at his residence. He was born on October 10, 1933 in Maijoma Chih, Mexico to the late Crecencio and Maria Hernandez. He was raised in Monte Bustillos Ojinaga Chih. Antonio later met and married Consuelo Valenzuela in December of 1953. He worked as a rancher all of his life. Antonio enjoyed and loved horse racing; most of all, he loved spending time with his loving family. He attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Antonio is preceded in death by his son, Victor Ricardo Hernandez; and by six brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Consuelo V. Hernandez of Midland, Texas; five sons, Leopoldo Hernandez, Carlos Ruben Hernandez, Jose Ali Hernandez, Artemio Hernandez, and Antonio Hernandez, all of Midland, Texas; four daughters, Elsa H. Morales, Nora Elia H. Gomez, Marina H. Martinez, and Miroslava H. Urias, all of Midland; two brothers, Jose Hernandez and Tomas Hernandez; 29 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; and by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. A rosary will take place tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Gate Funeral Home & Chapel. Funeral mass is set for Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
