Billy Don Willis

Billy Don Willis Sr, 79, of Midland, Texas passed away on Friday November 1, 2024.

 He was born on April 13, 1945 in Artesia, New Mexico. After graduating from Artesia High School Bill attended New Mexico Military Institute on a full scholarship for basketball and baseball. He then went on to The University of Arkansas to play baseball where he graduated with his Bachelors degree. After graduation he went in to the Army as a First Lieutenant and served in Vietnam.

Bill worked in sales all his life and called Midland home for the past 30 years. He was smart, athletic, kind, passionate and loved spending time with his family. Everyone who knew him loved him. Most days you would find him on the golf course or spending time with his nine grandchildren. 

 He is survived by his wife: Jayne Willis; son: Bill Willis Jr; daughter: Brandy Letcher and husband Ronald; daughter: Nicole Wilson and husband Charles ;daughter: Tasha Porter and husband John: nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 He is preceded in death by: his father and mother: Murray and Wyonetta Willis; brother: Gary Willis; wife: Peggy Willis,

 Graveside Services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 2:00pm at Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren: Blake and Kenzie Letcher, Brittany Wilson, Jensen Letcher, Jai Wilson. Evan Letcher, Monroe Porter, Mason Porter, Tucker Porter and Lilly Porter. 

The family would like to express their gratitude towards the doctors and staff at Midland Memorial Hospital and Hospice.
