Blanche Lawrence

Blanche was born in Brookston, Texas on January 23, 1931 to James and Edna Allen. She accepted Christ at an early age and later became a member of the Light House Church of God in Christ under the pastorate of the late Reverend Amos Taylor. She attended and graduated salutatorian from Paris High School in Paris, Texas.

Blanche worked as a domestic worker and cook the majority of her working life. She was a very good cook and served in Midland ISD as cafeteria manager in serveral schools.

Blanche is the mother of six adult children. Five of whom are living and they are Karen Williams, North Richland Hills, TX; Charles Lawrence, Fort Worth, TX; Aldrich Lawrence, Midland TX; Ruby Lawrence, Whitewright (Grayson County, TX); Barbara Lawrence Tomball, TX; preceding her in death is her fourth child Saint Julian Lawrence. She is also the grandmother of ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Blanche is one of ten siblings, seven including herself are deceased. They are James Welton Allen (JW) passed away as an infant, Paralee Allen Gray, James Melvin Allen, Robert Louis Allen, Erma L. Allen, Margaret Allen Hughes. Her surviving siblings are Fannie Swain, Amarillo, TX; Billy Joe Allen, Midland, TX; Donald Allen, Lubbock, TX.
