Carlos Mata Ogaz (72) passed away peacefully on April 23, 2024, with his family lovingly by his side. Leaving a void his family cannot fill.
Carlos was born on June 18, 1951 to Juan and Ema in Jimenez, Chihuahua. He married Rosa Elva, the love of his life, on December 15, 1973, and were with each other through all of life's ups and downs.
Carlos is survived by his beloved wife Rosy of more than 50 years, and 4 children, Rosa (Ernie), Carlos (Lizbeth), Javier (Maria) and Karla (Joe). He is also survived by his brother, Juan Ruben, along with his beloved grandchildren, Annalisa, Brianna, Natalie, Kandice, Angelique, Emma'Le, Santiago, Javier Jr., and Abigail; his great grandchild, Ximena.
Waiting for him at the Door to Heaven was his mother and father, Ema and Juan Mata Ogaz.
A service to celebrate Carlos' life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe, located at 1402 Garden Ln., Midland, Texas. Following the service, Carlos will be laid to rest at Serenity Memorial Garden.
Viewing will be held, Friday, May 3, 2024, at Lewallen-Garcia-pipkin Funeral Home, located at 2508 N. Big Spring St., Midland, Texas.
Viewing will be from 1:00 pm to 9:00. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.
