Carolyn Ann Grismore

Carolyn Ann (Cooks) Grismore, age 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2025. She was born on October 2, 1947, in Kosse, Texas to OD Cooks Sr and Ilah Ruth Cooks. She was the oldest of six children. Carolyn's family later moved to Midland, where she graduated from Carver High School with her Cosmetology license. She worked as beautician for 51 years. She was known as one of the best Lash and Brow specialists in Midland.

Carolyn was a charter member of Faith Temple Church COGIC. She loved the Lord with her entire being and served him until her death. Her family, friends, and coworkers knew they could count on her to pray for them and with them.

Carolyn was a great cook, caretaker, and a mother figure to so many. She was always willing to help her family. She was known for her annual family Christmas parties where she would serve her famous Taco salad. She looked forward to her yearly family summer vacations. She always loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents OD Cook Sr and Ilah Ruth Cooks, brothers, Milton Cooks and Henry Cooks; sister Lillie Cooks.

Carolyn is Survived by her children Trelisa Grismore of Midland, TX and Derrick Grismore (Stephanie) of Midland, TX; her grandchildren Daesha and Darius; her siblings; OD Cooks Jr of Midland, TX and Shelia Thompson of Midland, TX; Sister-in-laws, Linda Cooks of Midland, TX, Patricia Cooks of Midland, TX, Barbara White of Midland, TX, Berita Williams of Harker Heights, TX, and Vonceil Jefferson of Temple TX . Carolyn leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and the Faith Temple Church family and friends who she loved dearly.
