Danny L. Johnson

Danny L. Johnson, 65, of Midland, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in Midland. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Danny was born on December 15, 1952 to Nannie Wiles and Benjamin "Bennie" Johnson in Midland. Danny was born and raised in Midland, TX. and graduated from Midland High School in 1971. From November 1971 through March 1978 Danny served as a Specialist Five in the United States Army. Decorations awarded were National Defense Service Medal, Two Good Conduct Medals, Joint Service Commendation Medal, and Expert Qualification Badge Rifle. Danny loved roping and being around his dad's arena, loved fishing, enjoyed day trips on his motorcycle, and woodworking in his shop. He was an amazing example of a man who truly loved God, his family, and his friends. That example shined through when he was giving a hand to anyone who needed it. Danny was a true example of love in action with his wife Judy. His heart was his wife. His pride was his children. His joy was his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Judy Chapman Johnson; children, Christi Hart and husband, Kevin, Misti Haney and husband, Jason, and John Johnson and wife, Jessica; brother, Floyd "Shorty" Johnson; grandchildren, KC Hart, Keaton Haney, Ben Johnson, Kamdyn Haney, Peyton Johnson, and Mia Johnson. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Curtis Stringer and Tommy Johnson; and sister, Viola Stringer Williams.
