Domingo Nunez Obituary

Domingo Nunez, Jr., of Midland, Texas, entered into eternal peace on Monday, September 19, 2017 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Domingo was born on June 16, 1968 in Odessa, Texas to Domingo Nunez, Sr. and Amada Nunez. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1992 with his degree in Electrical Engineering. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Garcia Nunez, on July 17, 1993. Together they enjoyed watching their four boys play football and spending lots of time making memories with family. Domingo was a man of Christ and was sure to instill that quality in all four of his children. He leaves his many memories to be cherished by his parents, Domingo Nunez, Sr. of Midland and Amada Nunez of Odessa; his loving wife of 24 years, Elizabeth Nunez of Midland; his children, Talor and Kaylee Nunez, along with his first grandchild (on the way) of Lubbock, Kaleb Nunez of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Isaiah and Elijah Nunez of Midland; his brother, Omar Nunez of Elkton, Maryland; his sisters, Maria Goodwin of Urbandale, Iowa, Meche Carrasco of Odessa, Cande Hurn of Levelland, Texas, and Ludi Navarro of Arlington, Texas; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family has chosen Talor Nunez, Kaleb Nunez, Isaiah Nunez, Elijah Nunez, Omar Nunez, Quince Och, Marty Ryan Garcia, Marty Garcia, Sammy Gonzalez, and Joseph Garcia to be pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home, 2508 N Big Spring St. Midland, TX 79705, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 4601 Neely Ave. Midland, TX 79707. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.; the mass will be held at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 4601 Neely Ave. Midland, TX 79707, where we will gather with friends and family to celebrate the example of life that Domingo set for all of those whom he came in contact with. Burial services will immediately follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens, 6800 S State Highway 349, Midland, TX 79706.
