Elizabeth Valdez

Elizabeth Valdez, Midland, Texas, passed away to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 18, 2026.

She was born in Big Spring, Texas on July 9, 1954. She lived most of her life in Midland, TX, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree at UTPB in Business Management with a minor in Spanish. She devoted most of her life in educating children through Bible school lessons on Sundays and Wednesdays. She was a faithful Christian who gave her time and talents to God throughout her life. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law, and sister leaving cherished memories filled with love and laughter. To some she was Tia Bell, Isabel, Chavela, Nana Skittles, Nana Cocoa, Nana, mommy, but to all her family she was the sunshine in our lives, a person who was selfless and generous beyond expectations.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Maryann and Billy Sandoval. She had three grandchildren, Daniel Sandoval, Billy Santiago Sandoval, and Victoria Hall, and three great grandchildren, Isabela Sandoval, Isaiah Sandoval, and Aria Hall. She has one brother Jose C. Valdez Jr., four living sisters, Carolina Gutierrez, Elida Ramirez, Delma Rubio, and Josie Valdez. She had numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Ramona Valdez, sisters Alicia Martinez and Lydia Gonzalez
Pallbearers are Billy Santiago Sandoval, Daniel Sandoval, Corey Hall, Rayden Regalado, David Joe Valdez, Robert Ramirez, Anthony Ventura Jr., and Henry Gutierrez.

Viewing will be on Wednesday, January 21st, at Heavenly Gates on 405 N. Terell St. from 11:00 - 9:00pm, with a service at 5:30pm. On Thursday, January 22nd, burial service and viewing will be at Cherry Ln. Iglesia de Cristo, beginning at 10:00am with the funeral at Serenity Cemetery.
