Esther Ramirez Obituary

Esther Ramirez of Midland, Texas formerly of Pecos, entered the gates of Heaven on November 13, 2018. Esther was born and raised in Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico on January 24, 1951. In 1972 she moved with her husband to Pecos. There they raised 5 children. In early 2011 she moved to Midland to be closer with her children and grandchildren. One of her greatest joys were her 11 grandchildren. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of twin grandbabies in February, 2019. She was at her happiest when she was surrounded by family. Lots of evenings were spent on her front porch watching all the grandchildren play, while enjoying conversations with her children. She was a lifelong Catholic and attended Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Esther is survived by her husband of 48 years, Martin Ramirez, Her daughters Ivonne Ramirez, Corina Ortega and her husband Rocky, Carol Mata and her husband Ruben, Annabell Diaz and her husband Tom, and her son Rigo Ramirez and his wife Danielle. Also left to cherish her memory are: Kevin, Megan and Jalan Fuentes, Rocky, Jr. and Alejandra Ortega, Lauren, Nahilea, Diego and Eliana Mata, baby Diaz twins, and Noah and Arabella Ramirez. She is also survived by her mother Rafaela Saenz and her brothers Ramon, (Pecos), Jose Luis (Windfield, KS), Jesus Manuel, Arturo, Jorge (all of Ojinaga, Chih) Carlos (Presidio), as well as her sisters Alicia (Juarez Chin) and Patricia (Artesia, NM) She is preceded in death by her twin sons Alonzo & Alfonso Ramirez, her father Leopoldo Saenz and her brother Fernando Saenz. Viewings will be at Heavenly Gate funeral home on Thursday, November 15th with a Rosary that evening at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Friday, November 16th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Pall bearers will be Rigo Ramirez, Kevin Fuentes, Jalan Fuentes, Rocky Ortega, Rocky Ortega, Jr, and Ruben Mata. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Diaz, Diego Mata and Noah Ramirez. The family will always be grateful for the care that the doctors and staff at Midland Memorial Hospital provided her, all the nurses, techs and aides showed the utmost compassion towards her. Special gratitude goes to the doctors and staff at Fresenius Medical Care, with exceptional thanks to Shannon Yanacek, RN Funeral mass is under the direction of Heavenly Gate Funeral Home and Chapel.
