Evangelina G. Ponce

Es con profundo pesar que anunciamos el fallecimiento de Evangelina G. Ponce, amada esposa, madre, abuela, hermana y amiga, quien falleció el 23 de marzo en Midland, TX.

Evangelina nació en el seno de una familia amorosa en Val Verdes, México, hija de José González Domínguez y María De Jesús González, el 24 de febrero de 1945. El 27 de julio de 1981 se casó con El Amor de su vida Pedro Ponce V. juntos construyeron una hermosa vida llena de amor, fe y devoción. Vivían en Midland, TX, donde Wela era conocida por su amor, amabilidad, calidez y dedicación a Dios y a su familia.

Conocer a Wela era amarla, era una mujer de gran fuerza, amor y compasión por cada persona que tenía la bendición de cruzarse en su camino. Amaba a su familia y a sus nietos con todo su corazón. A Wela le encantaba la jardinería, cocinar para su familia, ser modelo de pasarela con su estampado de guepardo y pasar tiempo con su familia. Wela era una mariposa social a la que le encantaba interactuar con cualquier persona que encontrara, amaba a su Vicente Fernández y todos los días era noche de karaoke con Wela.

Evangelina se reúne en el cielo con sus amados padres José González Domínguez y María de Jesús González, sus hermanos Manuel González, Basiliso González e Irineo González, su hijo Juan Carlos Gutiérrez, sus nietos Genaro Pérez Jr. y Nathan Ryan Dimock, su bisnieto Ezra Nathaniel Elvira, sus suegros EusBio Ponce V. y Rosalía Ponce V., y su cuñada Manuela Ponce Valenzuela.

A Evangelina le sobreviven su esposo Pedro Ponce V. y 5 hijos María D. Ramírez (Marcial D. Ramírez), Pedro Gutiérrez, José Ángel Gutiérrez, Rosaelva Gutiérrez y Lorie Gutiérrez, 18 hermosos nietos y 23 bisnietos y sigue creciendo.

Los portadores del féretro serán José D. González, Santos González. Matthew R. Domínguez, Marcial G. Ramírez Jr., Ethan G. Rodríguez, Jeremías T. Rodríguez, Julio Pando, Isaías R. Bersoza y Alex Elvira.

Las visitas serán el miércoles 26 de marzo, de 4:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m., y el jueves 27 de marzo, de 9:00 a.m. a 8:00 p.m.

Los servicios fúnebres se llevarán a cabo a las 2:00 p.m. el viernes 28 de marzo en Willowbrook Funeral Home, 1311 W. Florida Ave., Midland, TX, con Pastora Esther Villarreal de Templo Remanente Jerusalem oficiando.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Evangelina G. Ponce, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who passed away on March 23 in Midland, TX.

Evangelina was born to a loving family in Val Verdes, Mexico to Jose Gonzalez Dominguez and Maria De Jesus Gonzalez on February 24, 1945. On July 27, 1981, she married El Amor de su vida Pedro Ponce V. together they built a beautiful life filled with love, faith, and devotion. They lived in Midland, TX where Wela was known for her love, kindness, warmth and dedication to God and her family.

To know Wela was to love her, she was a woman of great strength, love and compassion for every person who was blessed to cross her path. She loved her family and grandkids with all her heart. Wela had a love of gardening, cooking for her family, being a runway model in her cheetah print and spending time with her family. Wela was a social butterfly who loved to interact with anyone she encountered, she loved her Vicente Fernandez and everyday was karaoke night with Wela.

Evangelina is reunited in heaven with her beloved parents Jose Gonzalez Dominguez and Maria de Jesus Gonzalez, her brothers Manuel Gonzalez, Basiliso Gonzalez, and Irineo Gonzalez, her son Juan Carlos Gutierrez, her grandsons Genaro Perez Jr., and Nathan Ryan Dimock, great grandson Ezra Nathaniel Elvira, her in laws EusBio Ponce V. and Rosalia Ponce V., and sister-in-law Manuela Ponce Valenzuela.

Evangelina is survived by her husband Pedro Ponce V., and 5 children Maria D. Ramirez (Marcial D. Ramirez), Pedro Gutierrez, Jose Angel Gutierrez, Rosaelva Gutierrez, and Lorie Gutierrez, 18 beautiful grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and growing.

Pallbearers will be Jose D. Gonzalez, Santos Gonzalez. Matthew R. Dominguez, Marcial G. Ramirez Jr., Ethan G. Rodriguez, Jeremiah T. Rodriquez, Julio Pando, Isaiah R. Bersoza, and Alex Elvira.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 26th, from 4:00 pm- 8:00pm, and Thursday, March 27th, from 9:00 am- 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, March 28th, at Willowbrook Funeral Home, 1311 W. Florida Ave., Midland, TX, with Pastora Esther Villarreal of Templo Remanente Jerusalem officiating.
