With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Javier Valenzuela, who entered eternal rest on May 11, 2026, at the age of 66 in Lubbock.
Javier was born on February 8, 1960, in Ojinaga to Estreberta Valenzuela. A devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and hardworking businessman, Javier built a life centered around faith, family, and dedication. He was the proud owner of Quintanas Cafe and JV Roustabout, where he was known for his strong work ethic, generosity, and ability to connect with everyone he met.
Javier shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Manuela Valenzuela. Together they built a family that was the center of his world. He leaves behind his loving daughters, Rocio Valenzuela (Jose Armendariz) and Alejandra Esparza (Juan Esparza), along with his cherished granddaughters, Jazlynn and Jenna Esparza, who brought endless joy and pride to his life.
He is also survived by his brothers, Marcos Valenzuela and Fernando Valenzuela; and his sisters, Rosa Valenzuela, Luz Elena Pando, and Sylvia Montanez.
Javier will be remembered for his joyful spirit and the simple things he loved most in life — singing from the heart, trips to the casino, spending time doing yard work, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and most especially, sitting proudly in the stands watching his granddaughters play softball. Those moments meant everything to him.
A man of strong Catholic faith, Javier carried love, strength, and kindness wherever he went. He leaves behind memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing his love and legacy will continue through his family.
Viewing will be held Sunday, May 17, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 18, at 10:00 AM at San Miguel Arcangel Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The Valenzuela family deeply thanks everyone for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. Javier will be deeply missed and forever remembered
