Guadalupe Gonzalez Triana

Guadalupe G. Triana, age 77, of Midland, Texas, was called into eternal life on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Lupe, as she was known by all who loved her, was born, raised, and educated in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. At the age of 20, she immigrated to the United States and eventually made her home in Midland, Texas. There, she met and married the love of her life, Francisco, and together they built a beautiful life, raising three sons.

Lupe had a deep love for life and found joy in traveling, hiking, reading, teaching, and gardening. She was a woman who was not afraid of physical labor and was known for her generosity. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, and took great delight in hosting gatherings that brought everyone together. Her family and friendships were treasures she held close to her heart.

A woman of profound faith, Lupe devoted her life to serving God and others. She trusted Jesus with her whole heart, believing He would provide for every need. She was an active and dedicated member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Shrine for 50 years, where she impacted countless lives through her service in various ministries within the church and the Diocese of San Angelo. She was deeply involved in the Cursillo Movement, ACTS Retreats and Core, and served faithfully as a catechist and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Lupe had a gift for sharing her faith and was a shining example of Christ’s love to all who knew her. Her passing leaves a great void, not only within her family but also within her church community.

Lupe is survived by her loving husband, Francisco; her sons, Isaac Savedra; Erik Triana (Bianca) of Midland; and Francisco Javier Triana (Candelaria) of Austin; and her cherished grandchildren, Isaac, Jeremy, Liam, Jordy, Galilea, and Maia-Itzel.

She is also survived by her brothers, Juan González, Jose González, and Saul González (Miriam); her sisters, Maria Carrera (Jose), Elpidia Alvidrez (Samuel), Connie Moralez, and Eva Zarate, all of Midland; Ofelia Gonzalez of El Paso; and Irma Dominguez of Odessa. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will miss her dearly.

Lupe was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Consuelo González; her sisters, Alicia González and Virginia González; her brother, Luis González; her niece, Jeanette González; her nephews, Joey González and Daniel Dominguez; her in-laws, Ventura and Raquel Triana; and her brothers-in-law, Oscar and Enrique Triana.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at LewallenGarcia-Pipkin Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited that evening at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.

Pallbearers will be David Esparza, Joseph Esparza, Jacob Esparza, Gabriel Esparza, Nicolas Hernandez, Manuel Zarate, Jorge Dominguez, and Juan Carlos Alvidrez.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who prayed for Lupe during her short but fervent battle. Your love, prayers, and support brought comfort during her final days.

Lupe’s legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in all who were blessed to know her.

Guadalupe G. Triana, de 77 años, de Midland, Texas, fue llamada a la vida eterna el miércoles 22 de abril de 2026, rodeada de su amada familia.

Lupe, como la conocían todos los que la amaban, nació, creció y fue educada en Ojinaga, Chihuahua, México. A la edad de 20 años emigró a los Estados Unidos y eventualmente hizo de Midland, Texas, su hogar. Allí conoció y se caso con el amor de su vida, Francisco, y juntos construyeron una hermosa vida, criando a tres hijos.

Lupe tenía un profundo amor por la vida y encontraba alegría en viajar, caminar, leer, enseñar y cuidar su jardín. Era una mujer que no temía al trabajo físico y era conocida por su generosidad. Sobre todo, atesoraba el tiempo que pasaba con su familia, especialmente con sus nietos, y disfrutaba enormemente organizar reuniones que reunían a todos. Su familia y sus amistades eran tesoros que guardaba muy cerca de su corazón.

Mujer de profunda fe, Lupe dedicó su vida a servir a Dios y a los demás. Confiaba en Jesús con todo su corazón, creyendo que Él proveería para cada necesidad. Fue miembro activa y dedicada de la Parroquia y Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe durante 50 años, donde impactó innumerables vidas a través de su servicio en varios ministerios dentro de la iglesia y la Diócesis de San Angelo. Estuvo profundamente involucrada en el Movimiento de Cursillos, los Retiros ACTS y Core, y sirvió fielmente como catequista y Ministra Extraordinaria de la Sagrada Comunión. Lupe tenía un don para compartir su fe y fue un brillante ejemplo del amor de Cristo para todos los que la conocieron. Su partida deja un gran vacío, no solo en su familia, sino también en su comunidad parroquial.

A Lupe le sobreviven su amado esposo, Francisco; sus hijos, Isaac Savedra; Erik Triana (Bianca), de Midland; y Francisco Javier Triana (Candelaria), de Austin; así como sus queridos nietos, Isaac, Jeremy, Liam, Jordy, Galilea y Maia-Itzel.

También le sobreviven sus hermanos, Juan González, José González y Saúl González (Miriam); sus hermanas, María Carrera (José), Elpidia Alvídrez (Samuel), Connie Moralez y Eva Zárate, todas de Midland; Ofelia González, de El Paso; e Irma Domínguez, de Odessa. Deja además numerosos sobrinos, sobrinas, sobrinos nietos y sobrinas nietas que la extrañarán profundamente.

Lupe fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres, Juan y Consuelo González; sus hermanas, Alicia González y Virginia González; su hermano, Luis González; su sobrina, Jeanette González; sus sobrinos, Joey González y Daniel Domínguez; sus suegros, Ventura y Raquel Triana; y sus cuñados, Óscar y Enrique Triana.

La visitación se llevará a cabo el miércoles 29 de abril de 2026, de 11:00 a.m. a 5:00 p.m. en la Funeraria Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin. El rosario se rezará esa misma noche a las 7:00 p.m. en la Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. La Misa de Resurrección se celebrará el jueves 30 de abril de 2026 a las 10:00 a.m. en la Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.

Los portadores del féretro serán David Esparza, Joseph Esparza, Jacob Esparza, Gabriel Esparza, Nicolas Hernandez, Manuel Zárate, Jorge Domínguez y Juan Carlos Alvídrez.

La familia extiende su más sincero agradecimiento a todos quienes oraron por Lupe durante su corta pero ferviente batalla. Su amor, oraciones y apoyo brindaron consuelo durante sus últimos días.

El legado de fe, amor y servicio de Lupe vivirá en todos aquellos que tuvieron la bendición de conocerla.
