Johnny Joe Gomez

Johnny Joe Gomez, 43, of Midland, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 after fighting a long battle with cancer. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Stonegate Fellowship. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Johnny "Dido" was born on November 19, 1974 in Lamesa, TX to Delia and Clemente Gomez Sr. He married Jessica Maestas on December 17, 2012 in Midland County. Johnny worked in construction and landscaping. He was an avid sports fan and truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He would not have it any other way but to be spending time with family and watching "dem boys" (Dallas Cowboys). Johnny had a smile to remember and always expressed kindness to all with a loving heart. He is survived by his wife Jessica Gomez, mother and stepfather, Delia and Francisco Arce, children, Zechariah, Lindsey, Megan, Avonna, Judea, Brijette, Brittany, Dayza, Daylin, Leyaih, and Kimberly, 6 grandchildren, and siblings, Cecilia, Clemente Jr., Enrique, Norma, and Celia. He will also be greatly missed by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by father, Clemente Gomez Sr., sister, Susanna Gomez, and brother, Noe Antonio Gomez. Pallbearers are Clemente Gomez Jr., Enrique Sanchez, Clemente Gomez III, Jesus Gomez, Anthony Rodriquez, Jaime Juarez, Joey Gonzalez, and Antonio Talamantes. Honorary pallbearers are sons, Zechariah and Daylin. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Gifts of Hope, P.O. Box 1323, Midland, TX 79702.
