Jose Valdez

Jose Valdez, 69, of Midland, TX passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on September 26, 2023. Jose was born in Juarez, Mexico on March 19, 1954, and leaves behind a legacy of love and hard work.

He was married to the love of his life, Maria Dolorez Valdez, for 48 years. Jose enjoyed playing baseball, singing, and playing the bass guitar. He was a hard worker and provided for his family. He worked as a groundskeeper for Midland College for almost 30 years. Jose had a heart of gold and was the best father, grandfather, and role model anyone could ask for.

Jose Valdez is survived by wife Maria Valdez.

Grandchildren Emily Serrata, Deyanira Onate, Eric Rios, Alejandra Valdez, Aracely Saucedo, Natalie Guerrero, Alexis Valdez, Jose Valdez III.

Great-Grandchildren Londyn Saucedo and Emma Trevino.
Brothers Manuel Valencia and Francisco Valencia.

And his dog, Luna.

Pallbearers will be Jose Valdez Jr., Eric Rios, Mario Saucedo, Ryan Giddens, Churchill Lewis, Joseph Trevino, and Daniel Saenz

Viewing will be from 2:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday, September 28th, 2023, at Willowbrook Funeral Home, 1311 W. Florida Ave., Midland, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Friday, September 29th, 2023, at Midland Seventh-Day Adventist Church located at 3114 Travis Avenue with Pastor Mabio Gomes officiating. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Garden Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Willowbrook Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Midland.


José Valdez, de 69 años, de Midland, TX, falleció pacíficamente en presencia de su familia el 26 de septiembre de 2023. José nació en Juárez, México, el 19 de marzo de 1954 y deja un legado de amor y trabajo duro.

Estuvo casado con el amor de su vida, María Dolorez Valdez durante 48 años. A José le gustaba jugar béisbol, cantar y tocar el bajo. Era un gran trabajador y mantenía a su familia. Trabajó como jardinero en Midland College durante casi 30 años. José tenía un corazón de oro y era el mejor padre, abuelo y modelo a seguir que cualquiera pudiera pedir.

La visualización será el 28 de Septiembre de 2023 en Willowbrook Funeral Home de 2 p. m. a 8 p. m. Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el 29 de Septiembre de 2023 a las 10 a.m. en la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día Midland ubicada en 3114 Travis Avenue con el pastor Mabio Gomes oficiando. Seguirá el entierro en el cementerio Serenity Memorial Garden. Los arreglos están confiados a Willowbrook Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Midland.
