On August 6, 1968, in the charming town of Muscatine, Iowa, a remarkable journey began with the birth of Juanita Reyna. This journey, filled with love, dedication, and selflessness, came to a peaceful close on November 2, 2024. At the age of 56, Juanita left a big imprint on all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy rich with devotion to family, community, and faith.
Juanita's early years found her growing up in the heart of Texas, where she completed her high school education in Lamesa. Fueled by a passion for learning and growth, she went on to further her studies in Business Administration, graduating from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Tx. Her career was a tribute to her hard-working nature, as she joined the oil industry in Midland, Texas, where her unwavering work ethic and dedication to her responsibilities in accounts receivable were greatly admired by her colleagues and superiors.
While her professional accomplishments were commendable, Juanita's most cherished achievement was her role as a mother and grandmother. Her five children and eight grandchildren were the lights of her life, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. Known to her larger family as a figure akin to "MOTHER," her siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins frequently relied on her for wisdom and comfort. Her heart was filled with love and compassion, a true testament to her belief in nurturing and uplifting those around her.
Juanita's spiritual journey was marked by her sincere Christian faith. She regularly attended Elevate Church in Midland with her daughters, while visits to her sons in Oklahoma City found her worshiping at North Church. Her faith was woven into the fabric of her life, guiding her with grace and purpose.
Those who knew Juanita fondly remember her motherly nature and her unwavering support for others. She was a role model, always extending her hand to help, no matter the circumstances. She instilled a powerful lesson in all she met: the true value lies not in winning or losing, but in giving your best and striving with heart and soul.
Juanita was proceeded in death by her beloved father Lupe Jimenez, her brother Lupe Jimenez Jr, and sister Geneva (Jimenez) Guzman, whose memory she kept close.
She is survived by her 3 sons Aaron, Bryan, and Timothy Reyna as well as her 2 daughters Vanessa and Kimberli Reyna and 8 grandchildren Zayden Moreno, Noah, Lyla, Chloe, Bella, Santino, Jordan, and Camden Reyna. Her mother Gloria Jimenez, Brother Jacob Jimenez and her 5 sisters Inez Jimenez, Christine Medrano, Marissa Jimenez, Adelia Jimenez, and Gloria Oriz.
As we bid farewell to a woman whose heart was of pure gold and spirit of the rarest diamonds, we find solace in peaceful memories. Although her presence is deeply missed, her love continues to guide us and will forever live in our hearts. Our family chain may be broken, but we find comfort in the promise that, one by one, the chain will link again.
