Justin Ray Murphy

Justin Ray Murphy, 35, of Midland, Texas, passed away on July 22, 2025, at Midland Memorial Hospital.

Born on October 16, 1989, in Odessa, Texas, Justin was the beloved son of Jerry Ray Murphy Jr. and Misty Michelle (Yarbrough) Jones. Known for his strong spirit and charm, Justin was both a fighter and a ladies' man. He had a light-hearted love for caps-if you came around him wearing one, chances were he'd end up the proud new owner.

Justin loved music and he loved to dance. His joy was infectious, and his energy could light up any room. Whether through laughter, movement, or music, he had a way of bringing people together.

He is survived by his parents, Jerry Ray Murphy Jr. and Misty Michelle (Yarbrough) Jones and her husband Tycen Jones; his grandparents, Jerry Ray Murphy Sr., William Sue Griffith, and Terry Martha Yarbrough; his siblings, Gary Ray Murphy, Toby Glen Hodges, Amber Nicole Murphy, Miranda Ann Hodges, Cassidy Jones, Grace Jones, and Tycen Jones Jr.; his dear friend, Miss Geneva; and Mrs. Lorri Glover, a cherished part of his life.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Justin's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him-forever cherished, never forgotten.
