It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Luisa Nieto, age 84 on February 11, 2025.
Luisa was born on August 19, 1940, in Presidio, Texas. She was raised and educated in Monahans, Texas and later relocated to Midland, TX, and worked in housekeeping for many years. She enjoyed spending time with all her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Luisa is survived by daughters Delila Valenzuela of Midland, TX., Luisa Garza of Kerrville, TX; Debbie Nieto Perez-husband Uble of Austin, TX; Cindy Talamantes-husband Mike; Rosie Cox- husband Mark of Midland, TX; Son Jose Nieto-partner Christina of Kerrville, Tx. Also survived by sister Francis Villa-husband Frank of Midland, TX, and preceded in death by daughter Elida Garza, siblings Valeriana Lopez and Carmen Longoria.
Viewing will be on February 13, 2025, at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel from 1 pm to 9 pm, with a rosary at 7 pm. Continued viewing will also follow on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. following a Funeral Mass of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
We would like to express great gratitude to the Hospice staff of Midland, TX. for their dedicated and compassionate care of our mother. In lieu of flowers donations would be greatly appreciated and can be made to the Venmo account, @Rosie-Cox-3. All donations will go towards our mother's headstone.
