Margarito “Lito” Zuniga

Margarito "Lito" Zuniga, 82, went home to our Lord on July 12, 2021. He was born February 22, 1939 to Bonifacio Zuniga-Olivas and Josefa Varela-Pando in Cerro Alto. He married Neyva Rodriguez November 26, 1969 in Ojinaga. A Midland resident since 2011, having moved from Saragosa, Lito was a retired farmer. He was a hard worker that enjoyed tending to his fields and cattle and he loved his family immensely.
Survivors include his wife, Neyva Zuniga, of the home; four sons, Juan de Dios Zuniga and his wife Shelby, Great Bend, Kansas; Joselito Zuniga, Midland; Aaron Zuniga and his wife Lizbeth, Balmorhea; and Hebert Zuniga, Midland; a brother, Hector Manuel Zuniga, Pecos; a sister, Maria Celia Nieto, Presidio; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Nora Ann Zuniga; a brother, Mateo Zuniga; four sisters, Maria de Jesus, Maria Magdalena, Maria del Socorro, and Maria.
Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1401 Garden Lane, Midland. Interment will be at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home, 2508 N. Big Spring St., in Midland.
