Maria Elena (Nena) Quiroz was born on September 22, 1951, in Mexico and
passed on July 22, 2025, in Midland, TX surrounded by her family. She was
73 years young and lived a very full life. She was a loving wife, great mother
and a wonderful grandmother. Enjoyed spending time with her loved ones,
gardening and known to have a green thumb. Had a radiant smile and a
warm heart who would put others before herself. Dedicated several years to
volunteering alongside her family at the gordita booth during the annual Our
Lady of Guadalupe Family Fair and with other ministries. She believed in
being kind and friendly to others, worked hard and had a fighter’s spirit. She
was a strong woman and her unwavering faith in God brought comfort and
strength throughout her life’s journey.
She will be truly missed and forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Felix Quiroz, Jr. and had three children
daughter Diana Ramirez, son Matthew Quiroz wife Veronica Quiroz, and
daughter Jessica Quiroz Diaz husband Junior Diaz; her grandchildren: Felix
Rodriguez, Desiree Holmes, Jonathan Quiroz, Haley Quiroz, AbiJay Quiroz,
Aritzel Diaz, Xavier Diaz: her great grandchildren; Oliver Rodriguez, Spencer
Rodriguez, Morgan Holmes. She is also survived by her siblings: her sisters
Armida Quiroz, Zulema De La Cruz, Gloria Rodriguez and her brothers Mario
Ramirez, Ricardo Ramirez, Ruben Ramirez, and Jose Ramirez
Maria is preceded in death by her parents Maria and Fransisco Ramirez, her
sisters Ramona Ruiz, Lucia Gonzalez, Margarita Viveros, Olga Jimenez and
her brothers Valdomero Ramirez, and Salvador Ramirez.
The viewing will be held at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home
on Thursday July 24th from 3-9pm and Friday July 25th from 9am-1pm and a Rosary being
held on Thursday July 24th at 7pm. Funeral Services will take place on Friday,
July 25th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 2pm, graveside services follow
at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Family will welcome family and friends for
fellowship at Lupita’s Event Center 2401 N Big Spring Street following
graveside services.
Pallbearers will include her son-in-law Junior Diaz, grandson Jonathan
Matthew Quiroz, grandson-in-law Alec Holmes, Gerardo Vejar, Markus Varela,
Alberto Aguilar.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the support and
comfort from family and friends. A special thank you to her caregivers for
