Midland, TX passed on Monday, May 19, 2025.

Mary was born and raised in Midland, TX. She went Robert E. Lee High school and later met her ex-husband John Michael Lopez Sr. She was a home maker, nurses aid and housekeeper for many years. Wina was a very strong, independent and blunt woman. Anyone could count on her to have a vent session, go shopping or sit outside and water her plants. She loved decorating her home, cleaning the yard or revamping second hand items. She never met a stranger and was always excited to give her opinion. Her kids and grandkids were her world. She was a strong believer in being available for anyone in need. 

She is survived by her son John Michael Lopez Jr. & spouse Priscilla Lopez of Midland, Daughter Dominica Scott of Midland. Grand daughters Amber Nicole Luong (Michael Luong) of San Antonio, Eaden San Juan (Jhovvany San Juan) of Plano, TX & Kayleigh Scott of Midland, TX. Great grandsons Ahylis Luong & Ashton Luong of San Antonio. Brothers Juan Esquivel, Emilio Esquivel Jr. & Victor Esquivel all of Midland, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by:

Her parents Emilio Sr. & Francisca Esquivel, Armando Esquivel (brother), Guadalupe Rangel (sister), John Michael Lopez Sr (ex-husband), Erma Esquivel (sister), Carmen Romero (sister), Yvonne Gutierrez (God Daughter), Juan Jose “Shot” Esquivel (nephew), Amanda Esquivel (niece) and Enrique Esquivel (brother). 

Rosary is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 7 p.m. held at Lewallen- Garcia- Pipkin Funeral home 2508 N. Big Spring St.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 10 a.m. 

Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.

Burial to follow at:

 Serenity Memorial Gardens

Pallbearers will be: Rudy Esquivel, Joseph Esquivel, Rocky Gutierrez, Robert Gonzalez, George Arsiaga and Samuel Arsiaga.
