Marylou E. Romero, born on January 13, 1954, in Stanton, Texas, passed away on March 19, 2026.
Marylou was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was known for her strong-willed spirit and her love of playing bingo, which brought her joy and many fond memories.
She is survived by her daughters, JessAnne Guzman and her husband Christopher Guzman, and Jennifer Alcocer and her partner Nathaniel Machado.
She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Kristlyn Guzman, Manuel Guzman, Max Baca, Julian Alcocer, and Leia Machado, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Marylou is also survived by her siblings: her sisters Delma Romero; Yolanda Ortiz and her husband Albert Ortiz; and Rosa Gutierrez and her husband Rick Gutierrez; and her brothers David Romero and his wife Maryann Romero, and Raymundo Romero and his wife Robbie Romero.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmen and Fermin Romero; nephew Fermin Sanchez; her niece, Yvonne “Bungi” Gutierrez; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared with her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A rosary service will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Willowbrook Funeral Home, 1311 W. Florida Ave. in Midland. Inurnment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6800 S. State Hwy 349 in Midland.
