Raymond C. Nevares

Raymond C. Nevares Jr., age 75, of Midland, TX passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025. He was born January 12, 1950 in Midland,TX to the late Martina Chavez and Raymond Mendoza Nevares.
Ray was a calm and patient man. A hard working jack of all trades; Ray wanted to fix everything and he was always on the go. He was also a life long die hard Dallas Cowboys fan!

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Elfida Nevares of Midland,TX, sons; Raymond Nevares III, Macario Nevares both of Los Banos, CA, daughters; Elsie Hernandez, Valerie Nevares, Alexis “Lexy” Hernandez, all of Los Banos, CA, grandchildren; Andrew Marc Hernandez (Monica Revuelta), Jared Hernandez (Nieves Alvarez), Marcelino Durazo, Gabriel Nevares, Marissa Nevares, Jacob Galindo, Cindella Ochoa, Angelina Nasser, a special nephew who he considered more like a brother, Joe Nevares; Elfidas' children; Daniel Louis Martinez, Matthew “JP” Martinez, and Vicky Rodriguez all of Midland,TX, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 11:00am to 8:00pm at Avalos-Sanchez and Thomas Funeral Home, 1502 N. Lamesa Rd. Midland, TX 79701. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 2:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1401 Garden Ln. Midland, TX 79701. Interment will immediately follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6800 SH-349, Midland, TX 79706.
