Rosa Dominguez Obituary

Our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rosa Maria Portillo Dominguez passed away on January 8th, 2025, at the age of 64 years old. Her Faith in God wasn’t the only characteristic that described her. Outgoing, sympathetic, loving, caring, and becoming God's strongest soldier.

Rosa Dominguez was born in Acuna, Coahuila to Jose Ramiro Portillo and Lucia Moran. She was brought to the United States at a young age to live and grow up in a little city called Hart, Texas. She was the eldest of all her siblings who are: Jose Portillo, Elias Portillo, Ruben Portillo, Rogelio Portillo, and Maribel Portillo. Rosa was more than just a sister to them; she was a 2nd mother as well. Everything she did for her siblings was always out of joy and love. From growing up in Hart, Texas to graduating from Hart High School, she moved to Midland, Tx where she met her loving and hard-working husband Francisco H. Dominguez.

Both Francisco & Rosa Dominguez were very outgoing, loving, bright and goal-oriented human beings. Rosa was an amazing wife to Francisco Dominguez, as well as an amazing mother to: Angelita Dominguez, Dalila Kawaha, Francisco Javier Dominguez, Alejandro Dominguez, Dario Dominguez. Through the years of raising her kids, Rosa showed tremendous unconditional love towards them. What brought a smile to her face wasn’t only being a mother but also being a grandmother: Dario Dominguez, Juan David Kawaha, Desiree Salinas, Monzteratt Kawaha, Katelyn Dominguez, Alaynah Arenivas, Alize Perez, Melanie Dominguez, Francisco Javier Dominguez Jr., Rosa Kawaha, Camilia Dominguez. Rosa Dominguez was also a great-grandmother to 5 beautiful babies: Jezinna Moziah Villescas, Jezalynn Milliany Villescas, Damira Elise Bobo, Dearia Denis Bobo, Emiliano Rey Montoya. Rosa Dominguez loved every single one of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as if they were her own kids. They brought nothing but joy, laughter, and happiness. She was loved by all her nieces and nephews unconditionally. They brought another level of excitement to her life that only a mother can feel towards her kids. To all her kids, nieces, nephews, grandkids, great grandkids, Rosa Dominguez was everybody’s mom. From her happiness from family, she had many achievements and adventures.

From working in fields at such a young age to becoming one of the region’s top tax specialists in the Permian Basin. From spending time with her friends and family while traveling to different places around the world, or to enjoying casino with her husband. Rosa Dominguez was loved by everyone who were here to see her become the person she is today and to those who were preceded in death: Jose Ramiro Portillo, Lucia Moran, Elias Portillo, Rogelio Portillo, were able to witness their daughter, sister become an unbelievable person who became so well respected and loved by many people. She will always be remembered as somebody whose wisdom and knowledge and faith in God is so strong it is felt across multiple people. Her favorite saying was “Keep having faith and trust in God, no matter the outcome he will have all the answers to your prayers.”
