Stephen Allen Lozoya, known and loved as Esteban or “El 07,” reunited with his brother Michael in heaven on April 24, 2026, at just 26 years old. He was born on November 7, 1999, in El Paso, Texas, and made his home in Midland, Texas. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he left on everyone who knew him will last a lifetime.
Stephen was more than a son, a brother, a husband, and a father—he was a light in the lives of so many. He had a quiet, humble way about him, the kind of soul that didn’t need recognition to do what was right. He gave without hesitation, helped without question, and loved without limits. If you ever needed anything, Stephen was there—no matter the time, no matter the cost. That was just who he was.
He carried a sharp mind and a relentless drive. Stephen loved the hustle—hotshot trucking, buying and flipping, always finding a way to build something more. He enjoyed the fast life, the thrill, the grind, and the satisfaction of chasing success. But behind that drive was a man doing it all for the people he loved.
His greatest joy, his deepest love, and his proudest role in life was being a father to his two beautiful sons, Damian and Dariel. They were his heart walking outside of his body. Everything he did, every move he made, was for them. The love he had for his boys is something that will never fade—it will live on in them forever.
Stephen also shared a deep and meaningful love with his wife, Ariana Berumen. Together they built a life, a bond, and a family that will continue to carry his spirit forward.
He is survived by his loving parents, Cesar Lozoya and Christina Scott; his brother, Cesar Lozoya; his sister, Samantha Lozoya; his wife, Ariana; and his beloved sons, Damian and Dariel Lozoya. He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Lozoya, who now holds him again.
Losing Stephen leaves a pain that words can’t fully express. There is an emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him that will never truly be filled. But in that pain lives love—the kind of love that doesn’t end, even in loss. Stephen will be remembered for his loyalty, his strength, his generosity, and the way he made people feel seen, protected, and cared for.
Though he is no longer with us, his voice, his laugh, his love, and his spirit will echo through every memory, every story, and every life he touched. He will forever be missed, forever loved, and never, ever forgotten.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026 from 2pm-9pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm at Heavenly Gate Funeral Home, 405 N. Terrell St. Midland, Texas. Funeral mass is set for Monday, May 4th, 2026 at 10:00am at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
