Susan Jeanette Wrisk Vasquez

Susan Jeanette Wrisk Vasquez, age 74,  of Midland TX went to be with the Lord, May 6, 2023. She was born February 22, 1949 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to the late Jay Willard Wrisk and Mary Virginia Brower.

Susan's favorite thing to do was taking car rides with her husband and getting ice cream. She also enjoyed watching her husband play accordion. She was his biggest supporter.
Susan spent most of her time sewing, she loved baking birthday cakes, doing multiple crafts and scrap booking picture albums. She always made huge holiday dinners. She always offered a plate of food to anyone who visited her home, even if you just ate. She never let you leave hungry. She had the most beautiful smile, when she smiled you knew everything was going to be all right.

Susan was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She did volunteer work for various organizations throughout her life. But her favorite job was being a housewife and taking care of her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She went back to school and get her associates degree in business management. If you knew Susan, you knew she had a warm place in her heart for her family. She was loved by everybody. She had a giving, loving heart. She is going to be deeply missed. The hand that held us all together has reached its limit, its our turn now to hold on.

She is survived by the love of her life of 55 years Francisco Vega Vasquez Sr., son, Francisco Vasquez Jr, and his wife Liza and their children; Sarah, Serardo and Francisco III, daughter, Krictina Walters and her children; Christopher, Krista, Nikki, Kailyn, daughter, Anjelia Vasquez and her children: Johnathon and Kelly, son, Vicentie Vasquez and children; Seth and Oryan, all of Midland, TX, a daughter in law, Jessica Buico and her children; Jesues Jr., Joshua, Alicia, and Jacob of California, son, Scott Martello, and his wife Annmarie and their children; Scotty, Dominic and Alaina of  Michigan, great grandchildren; Albion, Jack, Tyson, Jesus III, Christiano, Isabella as well as two sisters, Linda May of Indiana and Becky Crass of Oklahoma.

Susan was preceded in death by her father Jay Wrisk, mother Mary Brower, brother John Wrisk, and her youngest son Jesues Vazquez Sr.

Viewing will be Thursday May 11, 2023 at Avalos-Sanchez & Thomas Funeral Home Chapel, 1502 N. Lamesa Rd. Midland, TX from 10:00am to 8:00pm with a rosary starting at 7:00pm.
Services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Shrine 1401 Garden Ln Midland, TX at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow at the San Juan Diego Hall at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Shrine. Pallbearers for the service will be her grandchildren Christopher, Kelly, Johnathon, Joshua, Francisco III, George and Honorary Pallbearers will be Pascual Jr, Reymondo, Enrique, Ernesto, Francisco Jr, Vicentie.

The family would like to express their gratitude at this time for all the love and support during this difficult time with prayer and kind words of encouragement.
