With profound sadness, the family of Telesforo Morin Gamboa announces his passing on May 25, 2026, at the age of 82, in Midland, Texas. Born on January 5, 1944, in San Vicente, Coahuila, Mexico, to Juan and Gabriela Gamboa, Telesforo, known as “Foro”, lived a life marked by strength, loyalty, and deep dedication to those he loved. He was devoted to his family, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. Foro carried a lifelong passion for ranching; finding peace on horseback as he watched over his livestock and the land he cherished.
He is survived by his brothers Angel and Ventura Gamboa, and sister Oralia Oñate. He is also survived by extended family members Cata Marquez, Mimi Vargas, Raymundo Vargas, Abel Marquez, and Juanita Marquez.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Gabriela Gamboa, his siblings Maria Del Jesus Bernal, Benigna Ortega, Julia Bernal, Anastacio Gamboa, Francisco Gamboa, Cruz Gamboa, and Bernardino Gamboa, as well as his son Francisco Gamboa.
Foro shared 57 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Ampurificacion Gamboa, and together they built a beautiful family. He is survived by his children Lorena Garcia and husband Rodolfo Garcia, Maria Del Jesus Hinojos and husband Luciano Hinojos, Alisia Dunning, Robert Gamboa and wife Ruby Morales, Alondra Gamboa and husband Antonio Varela, and Anabel Gamboa and husband Cecilio Barajas. He leaves behind 20 grandchildren , 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild;+ all of whom brought him immeasurable pride and happiness.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home, located at 2508 N. Big Spring St., Midland, TX 79705.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Templo Bautista La Hermosa, located at 1514 W. County Road 121, Midland, TX 79706. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens
