Thomas Guffey Midkiff

Thomas Guffey Midkiff, age 81, passed away peacefully in his home in Midland, Texas on Wednesday August 8, 2024. He was born December 14, 1942, in Midland to Lige Irwin Midkiff and Lolita Lucille Guffey Midkiff.

He graduated from high school in Midland, 1962, and joined the Navy. He was Honorably Discharged in 1966. That same year he met and married Joan Dove. They were married December 31, 1966, in San Francisco and would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this year. They lived in Connecticut and Midland. He had many friends, and he was generous, loving, and faithful.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Joan Dove Midkiff. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

A rosary will be held Sunday, August 11th at 8 pm and a memorial Mass on Tuesday, August 13th at 2 pm. Both services will be held at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 4601 Neely Avenue in Midland. He will have a private burial in Serenity Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, an expression of sympathy donation may be made to St. Stephen’s Catholic Church or Helping Hands of Midland.
