Vicenta Granado Obituary

In Loving Memory of Vicenta S. Granado January 23, 1938 - January 23, 2025

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, & Friend, Vicenta S. Granado peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 23, 2025, the same day she celebrated her life. She was welcomed into Heaven at the age of 87.

A Woman of Faith, Vicenta was the embodiment of a Proverbs 31 woman and a faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. Her life radiated kindness, warmth, compassion, and an unwavering work ethic that inspired all who knew her. A Legacy of Love and Service, known affectionately as "Wela," she was an early riser who found joy in working with her hands. Her skill in homemaking was a precious gift she passed down to all who grew up in her household. With remarkable resourcefulness, she crafted beautiful baby blankets and pillows for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, treasures she delighted in creating.

A Heart for Others, driven by her deep faith in Jehovah, our Father in Heaven, Vicenta dedicated her free time to serving at the Midland Soup Kitchen. She made it her mission to include her grandchildren in this service, teaching them the value of having a servant's heart. Her diligence and care brought only good to those around her, never harm.

A Prayer Warrior's Legacy, The prayer meetings held in her home will forever remain cherished memories, her beautiful singing eternally echoing in our hearts. As a devoted prayer warrior, she lived by her wisdom: "When someone crosses your mind, that means you should intercede in prayer for them." Through her faith, love, and exemplary life, she led countless souls to the Kingdom of Heaven.  "Keep fighting the good fight that she did & win the race you all have been called to live so that in the end, we'll all get to see her again walking the streets of gold with Welo."

A Biblical Tribute Proverbs 31:29-31 "Many women do noble things, but Vicenta surpassed them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."

She is survived by her children; Yolanda Rodriguez of Midland, TX, Aurora Granado of Midland,TX, Joe Granado of Midland, TX, Raul Granado Jr. and wife Belinda of Midland,TX, Diana Reyes and husband Larry of Stanton, TX, Christovas Granado and wife Marsha of Irving,TX, sister Juanita Valencia of Colorado, as well as numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Romana and Julio Subia, husband Raul T. Granado, daughter Maria Granado, and her brothers.
