Vilma Arcelia Molinar de Flores, 82, of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, passed away peacefully in Midland on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Born on June 21, 1942, in Ojinaga to Ruben Molinar and Maria del Refugio “Cuquita” Salgado. Vilma was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose love and strength shaped generations.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ruben Molinar and Cuquita Salgado; her beloved husband Hector Flores Rocha; her son, Hector Adrian Flores; grandchildren Enrique Subia and Ivy Venegas; great-grandchildren Riley Rae Florez and Arabella Marie Segovia; and her sisters Myrna Ivonne Molinar and Martha Ivonne Jurado Varela.
Vilma is survived by her loving daughters, Sandra Flores of Houston and Teresa Venegas of Midland; her brothers, Reinaldo Molinar and Josph Hansen, both of California; and her sisters, Aracely Covarrubias of Midland, Sorina Jurado Ramos of Colorado, Marie Christina Silos of New Mexico, and Marie Yvonne (Molinar) Rodriguez of California.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Hector Subia, Adriana Flores (whom she lovingly raised as her daughter), Iris Segovia, Aries Franco, Francisco Venegas III—all of Midland; Cristal Flores of Odessa; and Gabriela Flores of Houston; along with 14 greatgrandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
